First Baptist Church exists for the purpose of bringing glory to God through obedience to His commands revealed in Scripture.
To Be Obedient In Character – to live lives separated unto God – distinctively godly, loving, joyful. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
To Be Obedient In Conduct – to live our lives yielded unto God – distinctively humble, honest, pure, generous, kind. (Galatians 5:16-26)
To Be Obedient In Commission – to live our lives serving God – by constantly and creatively seeking to win the lost to faith in Christ by making the message of salvation by faith alone known everywhere, by personal and corporate witness and by prayer and financial support of missionaries worldwide. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Our Mission Is To Make Disciples – to win the lost by equipping believers to do the same by word and deed, and incorporate them into this local church or one of like faith wherever possible (Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 2:41-47).
